About the department

In 1995, among the departments will which the college was foremost. Infrastructural difficulties and the lack of permanent teaching post never deterred its course and the department started its journey with only pass course. Finally, honours course has been started from 2018 as a result of faculty member's effort, the appeal from the students and the effort of the college authorities. Currently the department has total three teachers including two guest faculties. One of the most highlighting factor of this department is the rapport that the teachers share with the students. The teachers play their part successfully by teaching, counseling and making the students aware both in terms of career and as proper human beings by rousing their morality both inside and outside the college. Apart from this, the department is determined in its intention to make the students culturally sound and responsible citizens through various cultural activities.
